Gung Hei Fat Choi! 🎉 This January and February, our students have been buzzing with excitement in the Mindfulness Room, celebrating the joy of Chinese New Year 🐉 with Miss Gemma (NET 🇬🇧) and Miss Julie (ELTA 🇨🇦)!
💬 Through a series of fun and meaningful activities, our students have been exploring Chinese New Year traditions in English! We aim to show them that English can be fun, creative, and full of purpose! 💖
✨ Here’s a peek at our festive adventures:
* Games Galore: Students discovered their zodiac animals 🐯🐰, matched adjectives to describe each zodiac, and learned fascinating traditions through interactive reading and speaking games! 🧠🎯
* Craft Corner: Our creative learners designed their own bookmarks and spring couplets, writing English blessings to share with family and friends. 🎨📜
* Cartoon Club & Fun Quiz: With animated videos and lively quizzes, children practised listening and comprehension while deepening their knowledge about CNY customs. 📺🧩
* Story Time & Role Play: Students became the stars of their own zodiac stories, wearing animal headbands and acting out fun tales that brought learning to life! 🐀🐮🎭
🌟 Every lunchtime has been filled with laughter, learning, and festive cheer — a true celebration of language and culture! Through these hands-on English activities, our students not only expand their vocabulary but also build confidence in using English naturally and joyfully! 💪📚
